If my son was in the position what would i advise?
I would advise IIT
It is the Premier TAG in the Country.
Regardless of what discipline you will get (And 3535 is a decent rank) and you could get CSE in some IITS like maybe say BHU
- Placement is unlikely to change as the IIT Tag is important
- Admission to MBA in India/USA or MS in US would be better with IIT Tag than BITS Tag
- Financial Paymens would be lesser. I mean BITS is EXPENSIVE!!!
So i would definitely be looking at IIT
EXCEPT IF:-
My Son really likes Computer Engineering.
I mean if your son wants to do Computer Engineering because he really loves the subject and really wants to learn – then BITS has a superb CSE Program and asking him to do Mechanical or Civil or Chemical would be very unfair.
