- It’s your first day in college. You’re frightened by the inhuman ragging stories you read on the internet before coming here. Then you see a senior approaching you. And within seconds, he’s like an elder brother to you. It’s then that you realize that you’re in the right place – BITS PILANI- We have Anti ragging policy here – where seniors help you in every way they can and make you feel at ease.
- It’s 8 A.M. everywhere else in the country, students rush to attend classes, which go on till 5 in the evening. But not me.Because I, am a BITSian. I choose my own schedule for the week, and I’m not obligated by the administration to attend classes for the sole reason of attendance. Long live NO ATTENDANCE.
- It’s 5 in the evening. Unlike others, I don’t spend hours cramming notes and preparing assignments. Because I, am a BITSian. I have the luxury to attend the technical classes from the likes of machine learning, robotics or even nurture my artistic self by working with like minded people in numerous clubs and departments.
- It’s 9 and it’s dinner time. I don’t sit in the mess and discuss CGPA with friends who can aim only as high as getting a job in U.S. I sit with seniors who have made it to the GSoC( Google summer of code) , the World Quant challenge, and who have done their thesis from CALTECH – People who are doing much more than the average engineer. And I’m able to talk to this wonderful bunch of seniors because I , am a BITSian.
