The question is vague and ambiguous. It’s same as asking if Rasgulla is equivalent to Gulab Jamun. Well both are great sweets but it all depends on the person eating it. If you are in Bengal sure Rasgulla is the best choice that’s like getting an old IIT but few people are lucky enough to be in Bengal or get a decent stream in old IIT. Now if you ask for Rasgulla in a shop specialized in Gulab Jamun you’ll not really be satisfied at the end of the day. These shops are the branches of engineering and BITS Pilani Computer and Electrical branches are really good.
BITS is a really great institute and comparable to some old IIT’s in placements but it always varies depending on students. Moreover there are many parameters to judge an institute like infrastructure, placements, research and so on. And just like no student can top in every subject same is the case with BITS. However I chose BITS due to it’s excellent placement statistics and alumni support.
