Let me begin by telling you my story.
I was studying in a college where there was no history of cracking the PG exams during your internship. Every time I sat to study I was discouraged comprehensively by my colleagues and seniors, who had a good laugh at my expense. I got MD medicine in general category through AIPGMEE during my internship, and I always tell people, if I can….you can too!
The first thing is, I expect you to have a strong base throughout your mbbs.
You may not have been preparing specifically for the entrance, but you must know your subjects thoroughly. That doesn’t mean knowing everything in depth, but that you must be having an idea about every thing that is there in the book. That entails reading each subject cover to cover in that particular year. It is simply not done separately at a later date.
Having gotten that out of the way….
The best thing that you must do is to solve as many questions as you can. Period. Waking up…. Lying down…. Sitting idle…. Listening to music…just keep solving questions…they act as refreshers to the entire subject. You do not have enough time to read each subject through and through at this juncture.
