NEET PG is going for a make over. In all possibilities, it will be called NEXT from next year.
The proposal is that the erstwhile MCI Screening Test or FMGE that is a licentiate exam for all IMGs who wish to practice in India will be merged with NEXT and the top scorers will be offered PG seats.
Now, there is no doubt that sincere and consistent efforts to achieve a PG seat will make a coaching redundant. But the efforts must begin during the First Year itself. You must study and revise regularly with a flavor of the NEXT pattern. You will succeed.
Having said that, we can’t deny the fact that the Govt. seats available for PG are very few. You compete with Doctors who cleared NEET UG with you and with those who will be giving repeated attempts, the success rate is only 3%, statistically
