I used Gray’s only to look at good pictures and improve my imagination while reading B. D. Chaurasia.
I used to read N. Geetha for physiology, read Guyton for Respiratory system. The thing is, read simple books and keep your concept simple. For better tables, graphs and diagrams you can go through the standard books if possible. I never went through Ganong, but my friends who read it were good with concepts. Ultimately for last moment revision all read through Sembulingam.
Biochemistry I had Harper for some chapters while for major part I went through U. Satyanarayana.
Don’t aim for reading and understanding standard books from the beginning. English is a foreign language and better keep your books simple. Concepts and understanding are more important.
Make a habit to read atleast an hour everyday
