NEET PG Counselling is a mandatory process in the NEET PG Admission. The important points related to the counselling procedure are as follows-
Highlights of NEET PG Counselling
- The NEET PG Counselling takes place soon after the declaration of the results.
- The Medical Counselling Committee conducts the counselling process.
- Candidates who have qualified the exam are eligible to participate in the counselling.
- MCC conducts NEET PG 2021 counselling for 50% All India Quota seats and 100% deemed/central universities, ESIC, and AFMS seats. The respective State authorities will conduct counselling for the remaining 50% AIQ seats.
- The counselling takes place mainly in two rounds, depending on the number of vacant seats available.
Total Number of Seats available for NEET PG Admissions (course-wise)
- 9,953 seats for Doctor of Medicine (MD)
- 10,821 seats for Master of Surgery (MS)
- 1,979 seats for PG Diploma and 1,338 seats for DNB CET seats.
NEET PG Counselling Procedure
To participate in the counselling process, the applicants have follow the steps mentioned below-
Step-1 Registration
- Visit the official website of MCC
- Then click on the candidate registration.
- Enter the required details, mobile number, e-mail Id etc.
- After successful registration, candidates will receive login credentials.
- Login, and fill in the rest of the details.
Step-2 Make the payment of the registration fees
- To participate in the counselling process, the candidates have to pay the registration fees.
- Payment can be done online using Net Banking/Debit or Credit Card.
The Non-Refundable Fee Categories
- For 50% AIQ/Central Universities- General (Rs 1000/-), and for SC/ST/OBC Category (Rs 500/-).
- For Deemed Universities (All Categories) – Rs 5000/-
Refundable Fees
- For 50% AIQ/Central Universities- General (Rs 25000/-), and for SC/ST/OBC Category (Rs 10,000/-).
- For Deemed Universities (All Categories) – Rs 2, 00, 000/-
Step-3 Choice Filling
- After making the fee payment, the applicants have to choose the desired course and college as per the preferences.
- Options can be modified till the due-date.
- Candidates must lock their choices otherwise it will be automatically locked after the due date. Also, they must keep a copy of the choices filled for future use.
Step-4 Seat Allotment List
- Soon after the submission of the choices, the MCC releases the seat allotment list.
- The list carries the details of the candidate, rank secured, the course or the institute allotted to her/him.
- After the registration process for the first round of counselling, the MCC will start seat allotment processing.
- Seats will be allocated based on the options filled by the candidates, their All India ranks, reservation criteria, availability of seats and other aspects.
- The seat allotment list will be available on its official website.
Step-5 Reporting to the respective institutes
- The selected candidates have to visit the allotted college/university for final admission.
- He/she must carry all the documents mentioned on the website along with the attested copies.
