Well, as per my maths, 2nd Year is the ideal time for the students who have to appear in NEXT-1.
Some of the reasons :
If You join coaching from 2nd year :
- You don’t have to write NEXT exam after internship like NEET-PG used to be, but before internship. So you already have One year less for preparation.
- Coaching classes will cover 2nd year subjects along with first year subjects. So in this One Year you will be done with 7 subjects. The content of notes which faculty will make you write in classroom will be quality content. So whenever you will open standard textbook like robbins that time you will see the importance of coaching. You will be able to understand language of s.t. very easily. And in short time you’ll be able to complete syallbus. ( P.s.Even if you could’nt grasp some points of 2nd year in coaching don’t worry just keep writing it on your handwritten notes and leave some space after evey topics, so that you can add it up lateron! And when you will read that same topics from textbook that time it will make sense. And even if you can only get 50 percent stuff during class, attend the class for that remaining 50 percent. Nothing harm !)
- You’ve got only 2nd year for building concepts and time to read for 1st & 2nd year subjects stuff. Beacuse from 3rd year, 3rd year ke subjects bhi to krne hai.
- If you complete basic subjects of upto 2nd year in 2nd year only, then you’ll be having good amount of time to complete 12 subjects in 3rd year itself including 3rd year and Final year subjects.and beacuse of that you’ll be done with all 19 subjects. And result of that you’ll be having less burden in final year, you’ll get enough time to do revision of all 19 subjects again in final year. And number of revisions is the Key to achieve good rank in any exams. So if possible don’t leave any subject to do for the very first time in final year. So my advise it to complete all the subjects before final year itself. And in final year of MBBS devote your time for revision, revision & revision along with giving SWT & GTs. Try to write one GT in every 15 days.
Now, If you don’t join coaching from 2nd year :
- Its means you’ve not yet made coaching notes of 1st & 2nd year subjects, so you’ll have to cover those basic 7 subjects along with 3rd year or even Final year subjects at least some of in 3rd MBBS. Means almost all the subjects of mbbs in one year ! And that’s something very difficult & at the same time quite frustrating to do along with attending college lectures, clinical wards and getting minimum attendence and all !
- In third year you will be having clinical subjects to study for college exams like ENT, Opthal, PSM, and that time just imagine studying Anat, Physio, Biochem and 2nd year subjects which you had studied almost 2-3 years back, it’s a bit boring too. And again you’ll need to go in details to recall that stuff.
I hope you’ll be clear with my answer. Though it’s my personal views. And i also believe that one size doesn’t fit all !
