Director of IIT Ropar Mr. SK Das is very visionary. He is head dean of research in IIT Madras. He has hired a very qualified and dedicated faculty for iitropar. Faculty – student ratio is 1:9 which is very positive. His focus on research is unbeatable. So many MoU has been signed with foreign universities for faculty,student exchange,research collaboration. Being a new one they have taken the advantage of technology and built state of the art infrastructure. Older iits are 60–70 years old and definitely have the advantages of alumni network but that’s not counted.
Every ranking system is different and done on different parameters so some or the other will come up and go down. We should be fair enough to accept this.
In our Indian culture Gurus are considered to be the ones who will always want his students to perform better than him. So older IITs were mentors to these colleges and in that way they should be happy to see Their successors doing better than them😀😀 I hope now many of you will agree and pacify.
