- It was the year 2012. I was returning home from exaustive summer vocation training. I boarded train from bhuvnashwer to delhi rajdhani. When train reached khargpur this guy boarded the train with a lot of baggage.. he sat very next to me.. we had formal chating, then i came to know he was iitian passing out from IIT KGP(hence luggage). when i told him i am from ISM DHANBAD he told me we at IIT KGP Look up to ISM DHANBAD in mining. As it is one of the best institute in mining engg. Ofcourse.
- One more incident I would like to add
In 2013 ISM participated for the first time in inter IIT cricket tournament and won the title. Very next year ISM could not participate because dates clashed with mid term exams in college and the tournament. As a result IIT D decided to postpone the tournament just because of defending champions absence..
