Well, it’s been almost an year at IIT Ropar, So I think I am well equipped to answer this question.
So starting with first to reach out here,
1. Location & Connectivity :
Ropar is just on a 1 hour ride from Chandigarh. It is well connected to major cities like Delhi, Shimla, Jalandhar, Chandigarh & most other parts of Northern India. Chandigarh itself is a very well developed city and is having an International Airport too so it is well connected to the other parts of India as well.
Moreover, Ropar (or Rupnagar) is a peaceful and calm city. The city is located near major hill stations like Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala, Mussoorie etc. Our main campus is also at a scenic place on the foothills of Shivalik and on the banks of Sutlej river.
