If you compare in safe branch than definitely YES bcz you will get better peer group there as many of the bitsian will be having higher rank in jee advance than iit patna’s gernal cutoff if your in particular branch.
Bits is gernally compared with old iits as it have one of the best alumini network.
Even its newer campus have slightly better peer groups than IIT PATNA bcz of location.
(PLEASE NOTE That I am not adressing the stereotype that “PATNA?? gangsters will be there!”, as it is iit, it completely safe)
