We need to define reliability here. If reliable means a genuine degree then surely there is a way to find through the accreditation on the website or prospectus.
If reliability is about course delivery then they mostly give you books and is upto you to study and understand. *My assumption here.
If you are expecting jump in career and salary then ask institute for details of past students and speak to them. Chances are quite abysmal Anyways unless you are sponsored by your company for future growth.
