No its not worth it. Sorry to say but i have seen this during my placement season that till date no company has visited VIT with a package more than 6 LPA for MBA guys.
More over some of the companies were offering just 2.4 LPA. Can you imagine not even Rs 20,ooo a month. (since there is PF reduction and food coupon reduction from CTC).
MBA placements from VIT are ridiculous in comparison to B.Tech placements. I m saying so because some have wrong perception that VIT is having best placement in private universities but its not for MBA. VIT does give best placements but for B.Tech not for MBA.
Moreover the crowd in MBA in VIT is more of a local type of crowd. People who belong to Tamil Nadu or other southern parts of the Country. I have not seen much North Indian in MBA. So, there is a lack of diversity and lack of talent as well.
