SSN is definitely better than SRM. See, all of the other answers for this questions are written without the good knowledge or information about SSN. It may be true that Anna University affiliated colleges are not up to the mark. But I don’t think SSN has that trouble (Though Anna University is the one that frames syllabus for affiliated colleges). With all the research facility (Seed money for research upto 25,000/- given for Undergrad students), excellent faculty, students of diverse background, sophisticated research labs etc. are all great plus for SSN.
When it comes to SSN, please be clear of not equating it with other second tier colleges and adding the prefix “local colleges”. In SRM or Sairam you can very well get admission by paying donation. But in SSN only maks speaks. I hope you understand this very well. No recommendations, donations etc. here only pure talent speaks.
