VIT is undoubtedly better than SASTRA. VIT has more infrastructure, exposure, placements and a better grade of facilities overall compared to SASTRA.
VIT is one of the best private institutes in South India. Compared to colleges like SRM, PSG, SASTRA and Amrita , VIT offers much better quality of education. I have friends from all of the above mentioned colleges and VIT is considerably better.
I studied for a year in SASTRA and then I dropped out to come to VIT University.
A few problems in SASTRA would be :
- Bad food. Compared to SASTRA, the food in VIT is really good. Plus the it is a vegetarian only college.
- The infrastructure is not very nice compared to VIT. The classrooms, labs and hostels are much better then VIT.
- Due to its strict rules for girls, they don’t get enough exposure. They don’t have proper clubs or chapters compared to VIT.
