Should I drop a year for IIT or should I join any college, like Bennett University, VIT etc.?

First of all, you have to be completely clear with yourself truly that – “Are you totally sure? Are you really into JEE Advanced with all your heart? And are you willing to give your all in these 1 year?” You have to be completely honest with yourself with questions like these because this 1 year will be very important. You will have to be working a lot harder and you have to SACRIFICE a lot during this period. Even after sacrificing, there will be no guarantee that you will better this year’s performance.

Frankly speaking, it’s not IIT but hardwork, vision and a never give up attitude are the things you need for success in life. Getting a seat in IIT is, no doubt a great accomplishment but your journey doesn’t stop there. Not everyone working at Google, Microsoft, Yahoo etc. passed out from IITs. IIT only gives you a head-start but it doesn’t guarantee success if you don’t utilise it. If you are aiming for the old IITs & old NITs, then go ahead and drop a year.

But if you are willing to get into new IITs or new NITs, then I would suggest you to a similar option i.e. BENNETT UNIVERSITY.
