Being a recent graduate from VIT and being a north Indian, I am well equipped to answer this question and would definitely like to contradict on many points which have been presented here to bash this college.
- VIT is no longer a tier 2 college, it definitely belongs to the big leagues. The research output from VIT is one of the highest in the country. The lab facilties of this college will give IITs a run for their money.
- If you are a merit rank holder in VITEE and not a management quota based student, your total expenses including tuition, hostel and mess food will be around 10 lakhs.
- Yes, the rules are quite strict for girls and the authorities sometimes have problem with the dressing sense of female students.
- You can freely interact with the opposite gender there are no objections on that. The problem starts when the students indulge in PDA. And this is the case with every college in India. Plus the co curricular life at VIT is probably the best in the country.
