Here’s the process I’ve been through.
1. Give qualifying exam. SET/JEE/MH-CET.
2. Fill admission form at http://www.sitpune.edu.in
3. Receive invitation for counselling via email. The same email gives details of dates, venue, time and the documents required. The details of DD for fees required.
4.Reach SIU Lavale Campus in the given date with required documents.
5. Wait in a seminar Hall and get documents verified.
6. Now according to rank or score you’ll be called inside the auditorium in groups. Seating arrangement will as per your marks/rank scored.
7. You have all the branches and the seats remaining listed out. You can keep a check on the seats available for your preferred branch. This is updated with every candidate locking his preference. So it’s basically ‘live’.
8. When your turn comes, go the the concerned admission officer and give your preference. He/she’ll lock it for you. Give DDs and get a slip and some other documents.
9. Go to college, show the slip and collect Admission letter.
