Advisable is that you should go for a decent full time MBA program if you are looking for a good career progression through your MBA as Full time MBA not only gives you a good practical Exposure and makes you a well rounded personality but also has a much better standing in the job market.
I also take into consideration that you want to shift your field from IT to management and this is what many people are preferring to. Then you can validate your reason of choosing correspondence MBA in comparison to regular one.
Though SMU is not much in highlights but with job you should not face much issues in the market.
