Take CSE. Seriously you will regret it if you take civil for the IIT tag.
I took aero in IIT and everyone is frustrated as we see people who did not get into IIT and took CSE in NITs get better paying jobs than us (With substantial overlap with the jobs CS people from my IIT got) . People from my class have even said “Arre itna toh local college mein CS karke bhi mil jata, yahan kyun aa gaye”. Most of the guys from my class are taking up coding jobs after learning aero for 4 years.
(This is from the perspective of someone who is just graduating. If someone older could provide their views that would be great)
