Comparing the VIT Vellore with BITS Pilani is not so easy. Because both are the premier private engineering institute of India.
AS far as vit is concerned, I can say that vit has to go a long way to meet the standards of BITS Pilani.
Don’t go behind MHRD rankings first try to understand on which basis they are giving ranking to the institues. Then you will completely understand why vit is ahead of BITS.
Here I am not saying that MHRD ranking is not proper nothing like that. They have some criteria and they strictly follow that.
Plz understand Rankings don’t depend only on placements but there are several other factors too in which BITS may have scored less.But overall in reality BITS is way ahead than VIT.
We have to analyse properly. Are these set of criteries helpful for students or not.
See many of the private engineering colleges are in top 100 institute of India. And some Nits are behind the private colleges. So it totally depends on the individuals. Which institute they will prefer.
