Hello newbies of VIT. Am a final year guy and probably my fifth year in VIT. My answer is with respect to my personal experience. Regarding both study and leisure.

One phrase motivation to all of you guys is “Aim high” a degree in VIT and job with 3-6 LPA or luckily >10 LPA at final year is not end of the road. Its just the beginning. You are about to kick start your career.

Try to find a lot of friends back in hostel and collage and make a gang involving both boys and girls in close acquaintance so that you will be kept informed all the time regarding what’s going on in the collage and am sure you will enjoy the comfort of company while going out and roaming around campus.

Ask your seniors regarding how to prepare for CAT exams and quizzes and go regarding their directions. Some people don’t know how to prepare and end up buying dozens of books and getting obsessed by not knowing what to read. Focus on PPTs posted in course page by faculties and this will be enough for most of theory subjects and you can score well by reading them. Maths subjects however it is recommended to buy a book given as major reference.
