I am currently studying in my 4th year of EEE engineering and I am writing this anonymously for obvious reasons.
Firstly the big fancy orientation on the first day of joining is only for show off and to scare ppl and intimidate people. There will be no freshers party and in the beginning of the day itself your parents will be informed that there will be parent teachers meeting twice every semester (Please dont go to this if you have strict parents it’ll make your next 4 years a living hell)
The Placements for EEE in RVCE is the worst. Only 4 core companies come in 1 sem and they take only 2 ppl . Rest all will be left no other choice but to look for CS jobs . When CS jobs are being offered the companies usually prefer CS, EC, and IS . And if management jobs come that will be filled by IEM and Chemical dept.
The thing which burns the most in the end is in-spite of working harder than other dept students cause EEE syllabus is usually tougher than other depts most of the subjects dont even make sense and we need to keep studying for it all most all the time while other department students will be participating in student clubs, sports etc. EEE teachers are such a pain in the ass they wont give marks and deliberately fail 20 plus students every year and if we ask for the reason they say “ You are not fit to get this degree” I swear to god if i get a penny for everytime i hear “ You are not fit for this degree” I would have enough money to start another engineering clg.
