What was your placement experience in RVCE?

  • 0

I recently got placed in Citrix R&D India Pvt LTD. This is my experience during the 2018–2019 placements at RV College of Engineering.

My friends and I had prepared well for the interviews. There was no stone left unturned. We read all the basics we were taught, solved many problems during the summer vacations.

Our aim was to get placed, hopefully in an open dream company (>8LPA) and be done with placements because it’ll become difficult as college starts in August and we have to juggle our lives between mini project, academics and also placements.

This is how my placements went:

  1. Microsoft: Got rejected after giving the HR round. I was mad, what even.. what could possibly go wrong. But it was a great experience. But I felt so bad, I went home didn’t eat food. Thought of all the possibilities of not getting placed and how my life would fall apart.
  2. Cisco: Couldn’t attempt as the Cisco exam was on the day of Microsoft interview. College promised we would be given another chance.
  3. Goldman Sachs: Didn’t make it through the first coding round.
  4. Soroco: This was worse than all the other coding round. Didn’t even get one of the four. After 3–4 rejections, it’ll start to hit your heart. You’ll be congratulating all your friends but there will be only one thought in your mind- getting placed.
