Should I leave a PSU to join a private sector firm?

  • 0

The eternal dilemma of every PSU employee !!!

I was in a similar situation 4 years ago. I got a job in Bank of America as a software associate while on campus ( Delhi Technological University 2013 Passout). Few months later I had a another offer from NPCIL( It’s a PSU under Dept of Atomic Energy that too at their Head Office in Mumbai.

After a lot of contemplation I decided to join NPCIL and it has been four years now. And still sometimes I think I made the wrong choice !!

I think the answer of this eternal dilemma lies with you only .

If you want a stable job with no unnecessary stress and a good work life balance then straight away choose the PSU. The salary is pretty decent and the perks are great. From medical to housing, every aspect is taken care of. You will always lead a chilled life. Coming to the work aspect, it’s a techno-manegerial kind of job which specially depends upon the vertical you are placed in. But the job can get a bit mundane at times.
