Well I scored around 30k rank in JEE main 2020 and i had same two choices since I only wanted to pursue CSE branch.. and after a lot of research i preferred UIET over Thapar university.
*First of all just look at the Return on Investment you are getting on your degree. In UIET total fees of 4 years is around 4 lacs and In thapar talking about current scenario.. it may cost u around 22 to 25 lacs..
*Secondly dont get me started on city life.. no comparison between chandigarh and patiala.. literally no comparsion
*Next is the crowd you are gonna see.. Thapar this year has given admission based on the boards result… AND I LITERALLY MEAN IT… you can check on the internet.. all the seats on boards marks.I believe anyonee can score in boards but JEE is a hard deal to crack you’ll definitely agree with me here.
*And the main part the placements ….. well be assured the placements for CSE are pretty good at UIET. and they are improving each passing year like even an electrical student got placed in AMAZON this year. Yes you heard it right..You can get an idea of its increasing placement records by seeing the college’s cutoff increasing each year like this year it closed at like 35k for general category.
