In the USA, none. In fact, for the majority of companies, the college/university degree is not necessary.
What is necessary is the knowledge and experience of doing the kind of programming required by the employer.
For example, if you have a web site with a Fliberty based server and Floberty UI that has a continuous integration server automatically deploying after your updates pass all the unit tests, you’ll be highly desired by a company with the exact or very close setup. (Swap in real programming languages for Fliberty and Floberty.)
Likewise if you can point to your contributions in open source code that are very close to the kind of code the company needs.
You will be tested whether you have a degree or not. You will be hired based upon what you can demonstrate that you know AND how honest you are in describing your current knowledge limits.
