WBJEE counselling is no different than other engineering entrance counsellings.
- First of all you need to register for partcipating in counselling by paying the amount demanded by WBJEE council.
- Next,after successful registration you need to fill up your choices and lock your choices before the given deadline, in case you forget to lock the choices but have saved them, then they automatically get locked (Remember to save your choices).
- Counselling is done on the rank basis, i.e; beginning from the first rank, they go on providing the seats, and come down to other ranks gradually. If your first choice is already filled up they’ll go for the next one you have opted and so on until you get a seat among the choices you have opted. So, remember giving enough choices according to your rank so that you get a seat in the first counselling.
- So, if you get a seat in the first counselling you need to visit one of the counselling centers(to be eligible for further rounds of counselling)mentioned in the portal along with your documents. And with a Demand Draft of 5000 INR (if you get a seat in government college in the first counselling) or a Demand Draft of 20000 INR (if you get a private college in your first counselling) and confirm your seat and opt for Upgradation(In case you want to upgrade your choice in next round).
- In next or subsequent rounds if your choice gets upgraded and you want to lock your seat by opting out the counselling then you need to visit the counselling center you visited earlier, else stay at home and wait for next upgradation.
- After all the rounds are over and you get you final seat then you finally need to visit the respective college in which you want to take admission and do all the required formalities.
- In case you get a government institution after an upgradation till the final round, your rest of the sum excluding 5000 INR out of 2000 INR will be refunded back in some days.
- And if you don’t want to take admissions, you need to visit the counselling center you visited after 1st round of counselling and get your admission cancelled and the amount will be refunded to you at a later time.
