When I and my father came for the counselling, we were told to bring a demand draft of ₹ 1 lac. So we paid ₹ 1 lac upfront during counselling and then paid the remaining academic fee, book fee, and CDC fee later on (after the confirmation of admission and branch). This 1 lac would’ve been returned to us if we hadn’t opted to take admission in this University.
So usually you won’t have to bring the entire fee amount during counselling. They will mention the amount to be deposited (during counselling) as demand draft beforehand. Check out all the instructions once you get your counselling dates. They have very important information about the whole procedure.
PS: Since my counselling took place 3 years ago (2014), there might’ve been some changes to the rules. Read all the guidelines and you’ll get the required information
