The VIT counselling occurs in two phases. Each phase consists of different slots and their timings. The students are divided according to their ranks into different slots and they have to attend the counseling according to the slot allotted, at the given timing. The counseling occurs simultaneously at all the campuses of VIT, so, one can attend it at any of the campuses.
In Phase 1:
Ranks 1–8000 : May 9
Ranks 8001 – 14000 : May 10
Ranks 14001 – 20000 : May 11
In Phase 2:
Ranks 20001 – 28000 : May 14
Ranks 28001 – 46000 : May 15
Ranks 46001 – 64000 : May16
Ranks 64001 – 82000 : May 17
Ranks 82001 – 99999 : May 18
