You have to be present there on the date of counseling with all your official documents which include your Class 12th and 10th marksheets alongwith passport sized photographs and a DD of 75K (This was the amount I had to pay during my counseling last year, kindly re-check on the website once).
Attending the counseling will assure your seat in the university.
In case you are unable to attend the counseling, you can also send your guardians on your behalf with an application confirming their guardianship with all the essential documents. Remember carrying your rank card with you.
On the day of counseling, you’ll be allotted your branch according to your rank and since you’re a girl, you have a special quota under which you have the privilege of getting a good branch (as compared to the boys who have their general rank near your general rank) according to your general woman rank. But if you still feel your branch isn’t satisfactory, you don’t have to worry, try getting a 9 pointer or above in the first year and you can get your desired branch. Also, you’ll be given the date of reporting there in the counseling itself and try to be early on the day of reporting if you want a good room and a good bed as delaying may leave you with the only option of adjustment. Also you just need to carry your personal belongings with you and nothing else like bucket-mugs or bedsheets as these things are provided by the hostel.
