How does the online counselling for Manipal work?

Firstly you will be called for the first round of counselling to the university according to your rank.
Depending on your rank you take the branch of your desire and if you are not satisfied with the branch you got you can keep them for wait listing
there will be 3–4 such rounds
after 2nd round your branch and waitlist will be updated on the website i.e. let us say you want cse and your rank is 100 but the cut off was at 99th rank during the first round of counselling. so you took CCE and waitlisted cse as your first preference.. now by 2nd round some ex person dropped out and hence there is a vacancy, so now you will be getting that seat which you wait listed as your first preference and you will be loosing the one which you took in the first round and this one will be your new branch
this procedure keeps going on for the successive rounds
you can edit your waitlist preference for every round on the website
