How will VIT counselling be done this year?

This my assumption based on VITMEE/MTech Admission.

1. 5th August Rank List or Merit List will be published
2. You will be asked to fill up a preferance table. This will include the choice of the subject with respect to campus and category. So let’s say you fill Vellore CSE category 1 as 1st choice, Chennai CSE category 1 as 2nd Choice, Vellore IT category 1as 3rd choice, Vellore CSE Category 2 as 4th choice and so on..
3. Based on your Rank & order of preference you will be allotted one stream.
4. If you take it, you will be asked to submit an amount to lock that seat & rest amount before the class starts.
5. If you don’t take the seat, it will be gone & no further counselling will be done..

This is my assumption.. No official statement is given as per my knowledge
