I am from Thapar and I suggest you go to Manipal.
- Same fee. Both of the colleges have unusually high fee.
- Poor academics : Thapar provides you with almost 0 practical education. When I joined my company, I had 2 projects. (Thapar asks you to do a summer project, the other one was my own). On the other hand, Manipal students had 10-12 projects each. Trust me, this is a huge advantage.
- Manipal’s infrastructure is much better than Thapar.
- Manipal has better placement. Being a college based in south, they have much wider and quality companies that visit for campus interviews. You can verify this yourself, ask any Thapar and Manipal graduate.
- Manipal has better location. Although the area around Thapar is developing fast, but Manipal currently leads in this department.
