How much is the fees of Thapar University for a 4 years BTech programme, including all hostel fees, etc.?

  • 0

I am currently studying in Second year. My tuition fee for the current semester is Rs.1,20,400 and Hostel Fee is Rs.40,000. Additional expenses are the mess fee which we have to pay (around Rs. 2800 per month), travelling back home (around Rs.6000 per month, may vary on your mode of transportation and how frequently you’ll go home), fancy meals ( between Rs.3000–6000/month), travelling plans with friends ( optional)( around Rs.2000/month) and daily expenses ( between Rs.0–150). Miscellaneous-Rs.5000 per semester (approx).
So for me the total expense would be between Rs. 22,00,000-Rs. 24,00,000 for 4 years of study.
If you want to join a gym outside the campus it will cost you between 15,000–19,500 per year.
It all depends on how you want to live your college life but make sure to make the most out of these years plus always know when to say no. It will be hard but you’ll have to learn to say ‘NO’ for doing the right thing.
If you score good in your Board examinations and JEE mains you may be eligible for scholarship.
There are scholarships for the top students of each branch every year depending on your CGPA. So if you’re good at studies or cramming, you can definitely save alot on your tuition fee.
