While you still are a student at NIFT, there is no salary at all.! You have to pay the course fee which is semester wise divided and it has to be deposited at the beginning of each semester. After the completion of the courses, students are placed in different jobs and position via campus recruitment programme which is generally held during the end of last semester. The salary structure totally depends on the performance of the student in terms of his grades, CGPA and also the company hiring. Like each student and specialization differs from one another, the companies too differ from one another. Some companies offer good salary structure and some do not. It is solely based upon the work role, financial stature and the willingness of the recruiter. In terms of figures, it may vary from 20K to 75K and may even run all the way up to 100K per month for a student from UG course (B.Des).
