As a second year student of this college, I feel I can answer this :v The first few weeks will be very strict for new boarders. They are not allowed to go outside as the seniors would have arrived. You are supposed to wear formals till your freshers and by that I meant any shirt with full sleeves and normal pants(no jeans). With time, you can start wearing casuals but it should be after a month and a half atleast. The entry time for 1st years students is 6.30 pm. If you are late you ll have to give fine. The entry time will be increased with time ,after your 1st sem. And as per your question, you are almost free to do anything but this needs time. Give a month and you will know what all it is. You can go wherever you want after your classes and enter hostel before time. You can do whatever you want to do inside your hostel. And whatever the restrictions are, they are for your good.
