Yes and no. It really depends on what your idea is about a ‘good’ job. Some students of CS and IT do get good jobs. For example, a friend of mine got a job at VMware in Bangalore for a CTC of 12 lpa. Also 20 lpa job offers from Adobe were also there, though it was sort of off campus. Every year a Japanese MNC called Works Applications give a job offer of 36 lpa to 1 or 2 students. And there were also some 6-8 lpa offers in CS & IT. Deloitte hired some 90 students from across different Engineering branches for a CTC of 6.2 lpa. Good companies like ZS Associates and Keyence hire from KIIT. And then you have other companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tata Technologies, Tata Steel, Adani Ports etc which offer 3.5-4.5 lpa. There are also some very new fledgling companies as well as other startups which can offer less than 3 lpa jobs. So it really depends on what you consider to be the attributes of a great job.But let me make this very clear:KIIT is not some IIM where every student gets a 20 lpa job. Hardly 10-12 students get an above 10 lpa job from KIIT. Majority of them(85%) get those 4 lpa jobs. For some people, getting a job in today’s scenario can be lucky, while others might think a 4 lpa job isn’t worth it when you have to pay a fee of 16 lpa.
