- If you are someone from a core branch(like mechanical, chemical) and want to be placed in a good core company, then yes, CGPA does matter. You need a good CGPA to even sit in their interviews.
- Currently placements are going on and Last week I checked the placement statistics. You will be shocked to know that only 10 per of students secured a core placement.
- If you are a student with a low CGPA, you don’t even think about a core placement. You stand a little chance. You think only about a non-core placement.
- In non-core it doesn’t matter what your CGPA is. What they are interested in is your skillset. The knowledge of a particular field and the skill you acquired during your time at your college is only what they ask for.
