Well, if you have your Mtech degree from an IIT in hand, you can do pretty much a lot of things. I am just telling you what they can do, how much will they earn is a matter of discussion.
So here are the options,
- You can join as a project assistant or associate in that same IIT or a different IIT, during which you get stipend.
- Do a PhD.
- Join as an assistant professor in a number of private colleges.
- Join as an assistant professor in NITs on contract basis for 3 years. Permanent jobs only for PhDs.
- Hunt for jobs through contacts in different companies, but that’s the most difficult one.
Getting a job in a company might be a little difficult but if you are open minded enough to pursue something else then you have your options.
