- Campus Life: Campus of UPES is smaller than schools (It’s true). They don’t have a proper Cricket ground, Badminton Court, Gym, Swimming pool. It literally sucks! here. College remains overcrowded and they are increasing seats every year. Internet is very very poor. Even my small home has better Internet connectivity than this “UNIVERSITY”.
- Faculties: Faculties are inexperienced and not helpful. Even small coachings can provide much much better teachers. Teachers are not helpful at all. In a nutshell, UPES provides worst faculties from all over India.
- Study Environment: There is no study environment here. Libraries are crowded by “laila-majnus” and “assignment copycats”. There is nothing in the name of research. Everyone copies from internet and present their research papers( LOL). I would also like to add that UPES will teach you some stupid subjects like EVS, English, Design Thinking which does’nt make sense at all and at the end you will get a random grade in each subject irrespective of your performance.
- PETROLEUM ENGINEERING: Talking about my branch, I have spent a year but I seriously learnt nothing what happens in petroleum engineering. Seniors are busy in Student chapter politics. Once you enter in Petroleum branch they will talk about “SPE”- crap. You will know what I mean once you enter here. Competitions like Treasure Hunt, PetroQuiz( nothing about petroleum is asked in this) and some other stupid quiz are organised and the funniest part is that the organizers award their friends as winner of the events.
- Placements: Zero placement in core Petroleum companies. Only SO mass recruiters like INFOSYS, IBM , etc will recruit irrespective of your branch at the end of four year.
What is the honest review of UPES, Dehradun? Is it good in placements for B.Tech? How is the campus and how are the facilities? What is the standard of teaching?
