The passing marks for the CBSE class 12 Board Examination is 33 %. However it’s not that simple. Basically the exam consists of two parts .
1.Pen Paper test and
2.Internal Assessment.
For subjects like English Core ,the pen paper test is of 80 marks and the ASL is of 20 marks . However , for subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science and Physical Education , the pen paper test is of 70 marks and the practical exam of each of them is of 30 marks.
One exception is Mathematics ,which has 20 marks for internal assessment.
So, the point is one needs to score a minimum of 33% in both pen paper test and internal
