What is your review of Christ University?

Firstly, I have to write this answer anonymously because Christ University has a history of targeting students who speak out openly about the institution’s rather abysmal and appalling state of affairs.

  1. Much of what is taught at the university is scientifically untenable. Ideology comes into the forefront, and scientific analysis takes a back seat. The rules, regulations, and policies at the institution are not helpful in curating and nurturing creativity. THEY ARE A DRACONIAN, CRUEL AND OPPRESSIVE INSTITUTION (girls and women are especially oppressed and harassed).
  2. The faculty is absolutely pathetic and ill-informed, by global standards, and even by Indian standards. Students are often much better informed than faculty members and the management, who are living 50 years in the past. They have absolute no clue about how the real world works, and have no knowledge outside of their discipline.
  3. The teaching is purely theoretical and students gain absolutely no practical and analytical knowledge. The management is only concerned about issues such as attendance and a formal dress code, and does not bother about real learning. The institution purely concentrates on rote learning and mugging up for exams, which shows why the alumni of the institution fare so poorly in the real world, forgetting making it to the top institutions in India or abroad for higher studies
