I was in the exact same situation a few years ago and I chose Ramaiah CSE.
I think it was one of the good decisions I made. I had a pretty cool job offer when I graduated, and I just graduated from an ivy league school with a masters.
Ramaiah has a great location, pretty good placements and as long as you put in “some” effort, you’ll graduate with a decent GPA. It has many clubs, catering a wide range of interests from nature, hiking, photography to building aerial vehicles and competitive programming.
The CSE dept was one of the best with KGS as the HoD, with a 5 day week and a separate CSE fest. (Not sure if they still have one, nor am I familiar with the workings of the dept now) There were classes taught by guest Professors that held fancy degrees and worked in the cutting edge areas in the industry. There were summer courses held on advanced/special topics.
At the end of the day, both are great schools and you won’t go wrong going for either of them! 🙂
