I am not sure about KIIT but I can talk about PESIT as I studied there.
First of all PESIT is now PESU, so the entrance happens through PESSAT, not ComedK, which might have affected the quality of students coming in.
When I was in PESIT, the CS department was considered one of the most reputed in the state in terms of infrastructure, quality of education, faculty and placements.
By the time I was leaving college, many renowned faculty were at the brink of leaving, possibly due to change in administration.
But being at the heart of Indian Silicon valley, PESU still has the advantage of excellent placements. With the new university status, the college is planning to expand their resources and infrastructure, which is again good for the CS branch.
