Placement scenario of chemical engineering is not that satisfactory. Core- companies were rarely seen recruiting in the last 5 years but few core- companies like paradip phospates, JK copier and others came for recruitment.Most of the companies were from the IT sector.
But the branch definitely has higher scope. But still the a lot of opportunity awaits after the 4 years end.
Chemical boasts of companies like Vedanta, IOCL, HPCL, Asian Paints, Schlumberger, etc although the average is the same as 4–5lpa, as would expect in the core sector, the growth is high. I would suggest you if you are really interested in chemical engineering then only you go otherwise for college you are going then better you take another branch in any average college. End of the day college matters but not that much.how well you studied there that’s matter.
