Eligibility
A candidate who has passed 10 + 2 patterns of examination (equivalent to the 2-year Pre University in Karnataka) with physics and arithmetic as compulsory subjects alongside Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as optional subjects within the qualifying examination is eligible to pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering at MSRIT.
The eligibility for admission is 45% just in case “> just in case of General Category and 40% marks within the qualifying examination in case of SC/ST, Category-1 and OBC Category candidates. The marks obtained by the candidate in Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics within the qualifying examination are going to be considered within the place of Chemistry just in case the marks obtained in Chemistry is a smaller amount for the specified aggregate percentage for the aim of determination of eligibility (and not for the aim of determination of rank, in respect of engineering/technology courses).
Entrance Examinations
Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) conducts Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) to supply admissions to interested candidates in various undergraduate also as professional courses, offered by different colleges within the state of Karnataka.
Candidates got to appear for CET in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects to secure admissions in Medical, Dental, Indian System of drugs and Homeopathy courses whereas those seeking admissions in Engineering / Technology courses conducted by KEA got to appear for entrance exams in Physics, Chemistry and Math’s subjects.
Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED K) conducts a state-level examination called COMEDK UGET (Undergraduate Entrance Test) to supply admissions to interested candidates in engineering and medical degree courses offered by colleges/institutes that are affiliated to COMEDK.
