Eligibility criteria for admission to B.E
students/Candidate should have passed 10 + 2 pattern of examination (equivalent to the two year Pre University in Karnataka) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination.
There are 3 ways to get admission here.
- KCET- This is a merit-based entrance exam through which 45% of the seats are filled. These exams are only for local Karnataka students.
- COMEDK- This is a merit-based entrance exam through which 30% of seats are filled. This exam is an All India level exam.
- Management Quota- In this process, you have to pay a “One-time development charge” apart from the normal tuition fees. 25% of the seats are filled through this.
For different branches of engineering, the development charge may vary according to the demand. Computer science will be the highest as the demand is really high for this branch.
