Oh yes yes! I’m in my final year in Ramaiah Institute Of Technology now and all I can say is, it’s been a great journey.
First year – Meet people of your batch, get to know them, get used to college, find out the various activities, fests, clubs and try to find out where you fit in.
Second year – You’ve got the hang of how everything works, still discover new things, meet seniors, get to know your department well and begin to participate in competitions.
Third year – Completely settled now. Getting to know juniors, organise events, participate in fests.
Fourth year – Placements and Final Year Project. You’ll hardly have any classes. Some departments plan a trip in the final year which you shouldn’t miss.
All I can say is, RIT has a great crowd and wonderful opportunities to showcase your talents and get recognised. You have equal importance given to academics and extra curricular and co curricular activities. An awesome 3 day inter-college fest, Udbhav is organised in the month of April, many intra college fests by the various departments/clubs and multiple sports
